How do I buy tickets?

Tickets for Dendy Powerhouse can only be purchased online. To purchase tickets to a screening, navigate to our Now Showing page. Select the movie, session time, and the number of tickets you wish to purchase. Enter your payment details to complete the transaction.

What time do the gates open?

Gates open 1 hour before the published session time. We encourage our customers to arrive as early as possible to ensure they can choose the seat that best suits them.

How do I get to Dendy Powerhouse?

We encourage you to consider transport alternatives such as public transport, taxi, rideshare, shuttle bus, cycling, scooter, walking or river vessel. Parking is available at the New Farm Car Park and Brisbane Powerhouse Car Park. Is there reserved seating?

At Dendy Powerhouse there is no reserved seating. When booking your tickets there is no seat selection / allocation, with all tickets being General Admission. We do encourage all customers to arrive as early as possible to ensure they can choose the seat that best suits them.

Do I need to bring my own chair?

No, just sit back and relax in our outdoor lounge chairs with wide armrests for your ultimate comfort.

Can I cancel or modify my booking?

You can modify your bookings online by cancelling your booking up to 24 hours before the session time. Booking cancellations will apply a credit to your Dendy account. You can then use your credit to make another purchase at any time. Please note that booking fees are non-refundable.

What happens if I arrive late to the screening?

Late arrival may result in non-admittance until a suitable time during the movie.

Will the screening be cancelled if it's raining?

As Dendy Powerhouse is an outdoor event it can be subject to adverse weather. We try to go ahead with screenings wherever possible, and do not cancel for light, intermittent, or potential rain. Screenings will be cancelled only if the weather poses a safety threat to patrons and staff.  If a session is cancelled due to adverse weather, tickets are automatically refunded as account credit which can be used for a future session at any Dendy Cinema location.

Can I bring wet weather gear?

We strongly recommend customers bring wet weather gear to screenings in case of rain (note the use of umbrellas during screenings is not permitted as it obstructs the view of other audience members).

Can I purchase Candy Bar items at Dendy Powerhouse?

Yes, you can! You can purchase Candy Bar items two ways. You can either approach our Candy Bar and purchase the item you are wanting from one of our friendly staff, or, you can scan a QR Code with your mobile device located next to your seat and order Candy Bar items from the comfort of your cinema chair.


Can I bring outside food?

Please be aware as we are a fully licensed venue, no BYO alcohol or food will be permitted. However, we have a great range of Candy Bar choices including our famous Choc Tops, Popcorn, Cheese Boxes and an extensive wine and beer range.

Can I use cash?

Dendy Powerhouse currently operates as a cashless venue, Dendy will only accept Debit/Credit cards, Gift Cards & other contactless payments.

If I leave the venue, can I come back in?

Yes, if you need to leave the venue momentarily you are able to return. You will need to show one of our staff members your movie ticket or order confirmation to be granted re-entry.

Is there accessible seating?

Our cinema is wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair accessible seating available. There is a pathway that allows wheelchair access from the carpark to the cinema. Accessible bathrooms are located within the Powerhouse main building.

Can I bring my own headphones?

We will supply you with our wireless Dendy headphones with superior sound quality. Unfortunately, you are not able to connect your own headphones.

What happens if the headphones don't work?

If you encounter any technical issues or need assistance with the headphones, please alert one of our friendly staff members and they will assist you.

Can I bring my dog?

Animals are not permitted unless they are service dogs. Dogs may be permitted to special dog friendly screenings where specifically advertised.

Can I smoke?

Dendy Powerhouse is a strictly smoke-free venue. This includes the use of electronic cigarettes, or similar devices that are designed to simulate smoking.

Lost something?

If you have forgotten something behind at our venue, please fill out a Contact Us form via the Dendy Website and we will organise to have your items returned to you if they are within our possession.
