Can we book our screening to start anytime we like?
We do need to fit venue hire screenings into our standard cinema session schedule. We provide recommended times which are flexible depending on the approval of the Events Manager per booking.
Do you offer discounts for group bookings?
No, we don’t currently offer discounts for groups.
What days are venue hire bookings accepted?
Cinema hires are subject to availability and are generally available 7 days a week from 5:30pm (ending before midnight). Pricing varies depending on the day of the week.
Does Dendy help promote the event?
Whilst we can ensure your event runs smoothly on the day, we do not assist with publicity and promotions for private bookings.
Can we sell tickets from your website?
This option is not available at all sites. Please contact the Events Manager at the preferred location.
Are there extra costs associated with having a catered function with the screening?
Yes there are. To help us prepare a quote, please contact our Dendy Events Coordinator BrisbaneEvents@dendy.com.au
Can we watch any footage?
Yes, you can. We can screen the latest Dendy releases, but also your favourite golden oldie, your home movies, or even a TV show. We will always need to make sure that we have the footage in the correct format for our projectors, and that copy rights are taken care of, which may result in financial fees. Send our event manager your special request and we can help you create your perfect night out.
How far in advance do I have to make my booking?
In cinema we are quite flexible, but dependent on availability. For an event, you need to contact us at least 30 days in advance, to give us enough time to work through all your details together. The further you plan ahead though, the bigger the chance you can make a reservation on the day you would like to hold your event.
Do I need to bring my own chair?
No, just sit back and relax in our outdoor lounge chairs with wide armrests for your ultimate comfort.
How do I get to Dendy Powerhouse?
We encourage you to consider transport alternatives such as public transport, taxi, rideshare, shuttle bus, cycling, scooter, walking or river vessel. Parking is available at the New Farm Car Park and Brisbane Powerhouse Car Park. For more information, please visit our Dendy Powerhouse Cinema Location page: https://powerhouse.dendy.com.au/cinemas-powerhouse/.
Is there accessible seating?
Our cinema is wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair accessible seating available. There is a pathway that allows wheelchair access from the carpark to the cinema. Accessible bathrooms are located within the Powerhouse main building.
Can I bring my own headphones?
We will supply you with our wireless Dendy headphones with superior sound quality. Unfortunately, you are not able to connect your own headphones.
